Sewer Jetting

New Sewer Nozzle Cuts Time to Clean and Flush Lines in Half

The Switcher introduces the ability to run a single sewer jetting tool in either pulling or cleaning mode, without removing the nozzle from the pipe. This breakthrough technology reduces the time and water usage required to make multiple runs with different nozzles.

By eliminating the need to swap nozzles mid-job, Warthog WGR and WHR Switcher nozzles from StoneAge do the job of two tools in one. This means less runs, proven to save time and water. Following the success of the WGR Switcher released in 2016, the new WHR Switcher is designed with a 3/4″ inlet for pipes 6 to 18 inches in diameter.

Before trying the new WHR Switcher, Jason Demartini of Vallejo Sanitation in California struggled with finding tools that could the handle high inclines prevalent in his region. Using a rodder to push a nozzle up hills was very time consuming. “The Switcher takes it to another level,” stated Demartini. “This tool gives you the ability to go in against the flow and do a really good job cleaning the roots without affecting the houses, not even to mention the fact that it’s saving water.”

Unlike other tools in the industry, Switcher nozzles feature patented technology that enables you to switch between two distinct functions remotely while the tool is in the pipe. Whenever the pump is idled down and brought back to pressure, the tool will switch the water flow between two different sets of jets. The pulling/flushing jet pattern directs maximum power to the rear jets in order to pull the tool quickly to problem areas or flush debris backwards out of the pipe. The cleaning/descaling jet pattern directs power out the side jets to do the tough work of cleaning deposits, cutting roots, etc. “It’s pretty much revolutionary in terms of its versatility,” Jason Demartini remarked. “I used the Switcher non-stop every day, 8 hours a day, and didn’t have one problem with it. I’ve been waiting for something like this.”

Warthog sewer tools have long been recognized as the professional’s choice for municipal, industrial, and commercial drain cleaning applications. The Magnum series, released in 2014, raised the bar for tool durability and effective handling of recycled water without sacrificing jet quality in poor water conditions. Switcher series tools add powerful and practical technology to save time and water.

Switcher tools are currently offered in two sizes. The 1″ and 1 1/4″ WGR Switcher navigates pipes 8 to 36 inches in diameter and handles pressures up to 5k psi at up to 100 gallons per minute, and the 3/4” WHR Switcher is for pipes 6 to 18 inches in diameter and pressures up to 8k psi at up to 50 gallons per minute.

For customers who already own Warthog WGR or WHR Magnum tools, the Switcher heads can also be sold separately.
