Company Announcements

What to Expect from StoneAge in 2023 – a message from our CEO, Kerry Siggins

Happy 2023! Looking at the year ahead, I am filled with excitement and optimism for StoneAge and the industrial cleaning industry as a whole. Here are a few of the many things on the horizon:

Employee Ownership

At StoneAge, we are on cloud nine from getting to start the new year as an 100% ESOP-owned company. Our employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) secured complete ownership of company stock on December 30th, positioning all employees of StoneAge and Breadware for truly incredible futures. Thank you to our founders, John Wolgamott and Jerry Zink, for their vision and generosity that ultimately made this possible.

A people-first ownership model, an ESOP functions by purchasing company stock and then holding the assets (a.k.a. company profits) in a trust for employees to access when they reach retirement— versus sending those dollars to the stock market. For more on this topic, check out my recent article in Real Leaders magazine where I dive into the purpose and benefits of this structure.

New Warthog Nozzles

In other monumental news, Warthog is about to debut a fantastic collection of new sewer and drain cleaning nozzles. Years in the making, this is the biggest, most exciting launch for Warthog since it was founded in 1989. From new names and features for our Classic and Magnum nozzles, to an entirely new Pro line of nozzles, I can’t wait for the industry to get ahold of these remarkable products.

Terydon

In case you missed it, StoneAge acquired Terydon this past fall! Previously our long-time competitor, it has been rewarding to collaborate with the Terydon team on ways we can better serve the industrial cleaning industry. Our products and technology are deeply complementary, and we have big plans to increase product development and custom solutions leveraging our collective expertise.

In the coming months, our first launch since uniting as one company will be the famous Jack Track cutting system. Paired with a new cutting calculator, the Jack Track is a safe, affordable, easy-to-use system that enables any service provider to successfully plan and perform a variety of cold-cutting jobs. The most recent episode of our Industrial Theory Podcast dives into how the Jack Track can cut into door sheets and curved tanks, whether for demolition cuts or highly precise, clean lines for re-welding— click here to listen to the episode! We’re excited to offer this proven system to customers worldwide through StoneAge’s global branch locations and dealer network.

Smarter Solutions

In addition to the Jack Track, this will be a big year for smart solutions like the Compass and Sentinel Automation Technology. Working with our subsidiary “smart product” design firm, Breadware, has allowed us to develop smart products faster than ever before. We’re focused on creating systems that deliver major safety and efficiency improvements plus key operational data, so that industrial cleaning tasks can be completed faster, easier, and with less wasted resources like water or fuel.

WJTA Training

Last but certainly not least, I am looking forward to having even more students participate in our WJTA-certified training program at StoneAge Houston. Service providers deserve the ability to perform their jobs safely and return home each day, which is why it’s so important that quality industrial cleaning training is standardized and accessible.

To all of our customers, dealers, and partners— thank you for your support and loyalty. On behalf of the entire StoneAge team, please know we are committed to your success and safety, each and every day. We look forward to serving you throughout 2023 and beyond!
