Obsolescence Notice: Hurricane

The purpose of this notification is to announce the obsolescence of the following products:

PART ID DESCRIPTION
ALL HC PARTS All HC parts including repair parts, caps, housings, gears, shafts, etc.
HC-P12 Hurricane 3D Swivel Assembly (already obsolete prior to 2012)
HC 600 Service Kit
HC 602 Seal Kit
HC 610 Overhaul Kit
HC 612 Tool Kit

 

The key milestones in this obsolescence process are:

  1. Formal Customer Notification of Obsolescence: May 25, 2016.
  2. Orders for these products will be accepted through August 31st, 2016 with the following
    exceptions:

    1. The HC-P12 was discontinued prior to 2012 and is not available.
    2. The HC 600, HC 602 and HC 612 kits will be available on a first come first served basis.
      When we have no more parts in inventory, no further orders will be accepted.
    3. Orders for the HC 610, Overhaul Kit will be accepted through August 31, 2016, however,
      lead times may vary and will be communicated at the time of order.
  3. With the possible exception of the HC 610, all orders will be shipped no later than September
    16, 2016.

Reason for obsolescence

The tool was replaced by the Torus 3D cleaning tools. In an effort to keep our customers outfitted with the best possible tools, we are advancing our support and service to focus on the Torus product family.

Replacement part options

StoneAge will no longer support items for the above assemblies after the date aforementioned. Support parts may have a significant lead time and are subject to price change; please call for a quote to ensure proper pricing and to obtain lead time estimations.

Repairs

Repairs will be available during the listed product support time, StoneAge will no longer offer repair
services after that time.
